What frequency is your ram rated for? What is the max frequency your MB is rated for? Is your bios defaults set? Do you have any of USB devices plugged in other than a keyboard? (If so, unplug them all, then turn PC back on)

Check if the light is a post light indicator. It should maybe be a ram error light or a a harddrive error light. But before I could really take an educated guess, please post your rig setup info. Does Your board have an led code display on the board (looks like an alarm clock type of text)
