63 is not TOO high, but its something to look at. Mine clocks out around 45 Degrees. Make sure everything is good with cooling and stuff. Might be a bad chip too.
Wow, that is extremely weird then. I am out of ideas on my end. Usually what triggers that is hardware change and similar stuff like that... But I have no idea.. Anyone else maybe able to help this one?
What is your voice program that use you to talk? Skype, GTalk? Make sure it is labeled on the correct microphone. It sometimes can count system sounds as the default microphone
What is the blue screen Error Code? Or is it just a fast one? I would test all the Ram Sticks one by one and see if any might be faulty. Thats was a problem with one of mine.

Does XP work with the OS BEFORE the driver install? Make sure you are using a correct driver. Windows 8.1 drivers on XP never turn out good. Try reinstalling, and then re-download them one at a time. This way you can easily determine what driver might be bad. Come back to me after that.
It might be just because windows XP is just so outdated. Are you sure when your installing the drivers they support and work for XP as well? If you install 8.1 drivers on XP it will not work.
right click the sound bar, and go to mixer. Make sure your microphone is the default input device. I had this problem back in 2013 with a MOBO install.

Overclock you need something better than the default CPU fan. The CPU fan is what determines around 80% of if you can or can not overclock. Go ahead and get a liquid cooling device for around 60 bucks. They are pretty cheap now. Do not buy Antec though.. Bought my antec and I am afraid to take...
