There are no pros. More memory means it will be able to load higher resolution textures etc into RAM to run higher settings. Such a crap video card will never be able to run those higher quality settings anyway so it is pointless.

Is the RAM the only thing you replaced? Try running memtest86+ on each stick individually. The test can be downloaded online as an ISO image. Simply burn it to a disk and boot the PC from it. Try putting your old RAM back in and see if the issue persists.
