    Try popping out the Cmos battery for about 30 seconds and see if that fixes it.

    I have had a 20ft Hdmi cable hooked to my Tv with no signal problems.I have heard that you can get about 50ft before you have real signal degradation.

    My niece has just about the same setup on her Pc an E8400 Wolfsdale with a Sapphire 7770 she maxes out games on 1440x900 24" display.It will work in your Pci slot regardless but some people have a differing opinion when it comes to what PCI generation the board runs.

    Ubuntu already has my work computer with Steam OS and Mantle progressing every month Ms isn't long from total banishment in my home.

    You may be able to try an inside of Windows programs like Intel desktop control center for voltage changes.

    The only time I've ever had this problem my CPU needed a small bump in V-Core voltage.

    I don't think I've ever had an MB that ran over PCI 1.1 while nothing was running as long as it changes while running the render and doesn't change back before the render is closed it's probably fine.
