Question Harddrive ususally hot and noisy.

I have a 5TB HGST Deskstar NAS 5TB 7200 RPM in my PC and it's been running for 3 years. It has always made clicking noises when in use even when I bought it but has been running fine almost 24/7 for 3 years. Recently I noticed it has been getting very hot, 50C+ easily without doing much. It...

RX 580 random screen flicker in desktop

I recently upgraded to an RX 580 and it runs well in game but there is a serious issue with it when outside of games, especially if I am watching a video or a stream. There would be random flickers that sometimes happen every few seconds or sometimes wouldn't happen for hours but it still will...

It was just high bitrate 1080p cpu encoding. The 6700k just didn't have enough to encode and play the game so the stream was going at like 15 fps.

The reason they didn't show single thread performance probably has to do with their clock disadvantages vs skylake. The single threaded IPC shouldn't be worse than their multithreaded IPC unless you think AMD made a better hyperthreading on their first try than Intel after 10 years.

AMD's 4 core can be priced at $150-$200 prices but I think the high end 8 cores will be pretty expensive. There won't be 6 cores probably since the cores are split into 4 core modules.

Did I permenemntly damage my gpu

The card has safety that shuts it off if there is too much power. Generally you won't run into problem unless you find it doesn't boot any more. Running with too high of a voltage over time does decrease the life time of the gpu but in this case it probably won't cause permanent damage just...

    New build advice

Your current system should be able to play bf4 at nearly maxed settings with very good FPS. I don't know why you'd even want to upgrade if it's just for bf4.
