As the other guys said, the more up the graphics card range you go, the less frames you get per dollar.
However, the high end card will last a little longer until it can't handle games the way you want it to, and will hold its resale value better.
I was wondering, what the consequence is of having the mobo's PCI Express x16 slot, which apparently slows the graphics card (which is pci e 2.0). Will it be at a point, where i won't be able to play starcraft?
Don't worry about that, PCIE x16 is plenty fast enough
