The Ryzen 1600 and 1600x should have had its price lowered to $190-$200 now putting it about on par with the 8400 $189 price US for the chip alone. Problem is that z370 motherboards are $50 more than the AMD b350. So the question is if you're willing to spend that much more I'd pick the 8400...
