    Discussion Viewing Aurora Borealis

Yeah, seeing an Aurora is in my to do list of "things to do before I die", and unfortunately, I seem to be running out of time... I'm going to blame Windows Vista for this..

UPS still fails when actual black out happens.

I had a similar issue with my UPS. It would fail to work during actual blackout, but if I simulated it by switching off the mains power manually, it would work just fine. It would power the PC for 15 minutes before shutting off. My PC uses roughly 400W of power and powered by 650W PSU (thank you...

    Question Motherboard Heatsink Questions

As a side note, don't forget to remove the... plastic layer protector thingy on the thermal pad on the heatsinks before installing it. Some motherboards might have it. my MSI had it, and I didn't remove it for over 5 years since I got the motherboard..

News Buried Steam tool shows how much you've spent on your account in your lifetime

Just checked mine, I'm not a gamer at all though, with my peak gaming days already buried way back in the past with my PS2. But my god have I overspent horribly.. At a grand total of 39.82 USD.

Question Exploring VPN Alternatives: Is There a Better Option for Speed, Security, and Flexibility?

I honestly really don't know what you need, but I've been using the one that comes built in on Microsoft Edge. I know, I know, internet explorer and all that, but if what you need is just the barebones, I guess it should be enough.. Won't rule out translators, though..

Discussion Sharing my experience with this setup

Welp, fair price I guess wkwk... That's a very nicely specced PC though, it should last you for a few good years unless you're going for the very top graphics / resolution available. I say enjoy.. Do post your build here for us to see...

12 Horrifying Windows Self-Destruct Keys You Can Hit By Accident

Thank you, very useful! I have to say, Ctrl + Shift + T to bring back closed tabs is such a live safer I can't live without. My previous laptop (a Lenovo model) had the F4 key mapped to the "close window" function, and it's sandwiched between the frequently used F3 (volume up) and F5 (screen...

Discussion Sharing my experience with this setup

Thanks for the info mate... How much did you pay for that 7900XTX? Did you buy it online? Funnily enough I've watched a jayztwocents vid praising that exact XFX model, something along the lines of the fans being good. and easy to replace. The fact that yours turned out problematic is really...

    Question SSDs: SP US75 vs Lexar MN790 vs Samsung 990 Evo+ ?

I'm typing this on a laptop equipped with a Lexar SSD (an NM600 to be precise). I have nothing to complain, I've been using it since... 2018-ish I believe as a boot drive, and it's been working flawlessly. I assume the newer one would be the same. That being said, when it comes to SSDs, I'm...

News WinRAR security flaw ignores Windows Mark of the Web security warnings

Question Mouse and keyboard randomly don't register inputs - - so which part is at fault ?

Not trying to be "that guy" but... have you tried replacing the battery with fresh new ones? I'm being serious. One time my Logitech mouse began acting erratically while playing Destiny 2 (and only D2) with random misclicks and dropouts... I reinstalled all kinds of drivers, the game, some Ease...
