    Fx 6300 crash

The problem is the refresh cycle time of one stick of ram. It can be manually adjusted in the bios but I'm not sure what to set it as. I'm only given a few options at 90, 110, 160, 300, and 350 ns.

    Fx 6300 crash

I should've clarified, I bought a 4x4gb pack replacing my older 2x4gb. The memory is all from the same set. But I will verify all timings and voltages and check back in.

    Fx 6300 crash

I recently purchased an fx 6300 and another 2x4gb of ddr3 1866 ram . Installing the extra ram causes the boot sequence to give guid errors with the fx 6300, but my previous fx 4130 has zero issues with 4 dimms in use. My setup is Asrock 990fx killer Fx 6300 8gb gskill ripjaw x @ 1866 EVGA gtx...

    Ram timing question

All 4 modules are installed on the board. It seems I can run all 4 at 11-11-11-28 but I won't be able to use an xmp profile.

    Ram timing question

But will the timings still be the same? I just don't want anything messed up. I just built this expensive budget build less than a week ago.

    Ram timing question

Orginally I have Gskill 8gb 1866 at 9-10-9-28. I ordered another pair that were falsely advertised as 1866 and they ended up being 2133 on arrival. Can I down clock the 2133 to match the timing of the 1866? The 2133 timing is 11-11-11-30.

    No power on mobo

Used gskill ripjaw 1866 first. I believe the board itself was shorted or maybe had a cold/weak solder joint. Replacement is on the way.

    No power on mobo

I purchased an asrock 990fx fatal1ty mobo. Got everything set in the case, plugged in, and ready to go. Upon pressing the power button, the only thing that came on were the LED's on my corsair dominators. Brand new mobo out of the box. Any suggestions? Im an avid builder and havent ran into this...
