Interesting! I have been told (or have read) using all 6 slots on a triple channel setup would decrease CPU performance. I will either get 3-4gb sticks or 6-2gb sticks depending on the brand.

Keep the W3680. I have a T5500 with the x5690 and a 1070. Does well in most titles and as a workstation. The case has a lot of proprietary connections so changing boards wouldnt be as simple as plug and play.
