[SOLVED] Need help buying a new graphic card!

Getting a 3770k right now would just be a waste of money.

[SOLVED] Need help buying a new graphic card!

No, as that would require a new motherboard and ram too. You can't overclock that cpu as it's multiplier locked and the only way to oc those is by bclk which is usually locked in oem builds.

[SOLVED] First Build: Will it work?

Looks pretty good, though you might want to consider the 1660 Super over the 1660 ti, they're almost the same performance but Super is much cheaper. Alternatively, you could ditch the cpu cooler and get a RX 5700 instead, that would give you significantly more performance.

Question I always had Intel CPUs. Convince me about AMD.

Yeah... that would not beat a 3600, and the cooler point still applies. Ok then I didn't mention anything about 1440p or 4k. Not that it would matter as the 3600 and 2600 are still cheaper. So you'd rather artificially take away what little the i5 had going for it to make up for it's...

Question I always had Intel CPUs. Convince me about AMD.

Save $250-300 with what? i5 9600k is still $25 more than the 3600 and needs an aftermarket cooler. Using userbenchmark to display performance differences doesn't exactly validate your point since they're well known for being biased towards Intel. The benchmarks on 9600k vs 3600 are also very...

Add the psu to the list of things to upgrade.

Question Sudden shutdown on a new build!?

He'll eventually pay more for all the shitty psus and the components they break than he would have if he got a good psu to begin with. My most generous prediction for that unit is a year, then it's dead.

[SOLVED] If I gave you $2000 to build your best PC what would you build?

This would be what i would do: You could definitely get more performance at the same budget but i prefer stability, long term reliability and ability to run at 100% utilization for days. It's not a full gaming build either as i prefer an all-around solid system that can do anything i want it to...

The game is optimized like ass. Everyone is suffering from horrible performance.

Question PC crashes -> Blackscreen! Why?

User input related crashes would leave me to believe it's a broken motherboard. The way it crashes and not crashing on idle however seems more PSU related. I'd start by having those 2 tested.

    Question Cooler Master PSUs

It's never a good sign if even the manufacturer doesn't trust the PSU to make what they promise on the box... No, the BV is not good. The CX is the lowest you should go if you want to have a stable system. Unless you can find a Seasonic S12II (not to be confused with S12III) for cheaper.

[SOLVED] is this a good build?

Dial back on the psu and on the cpu (to something like the i7 9700k) and you might be able to fit a RTX 2080 TI there instead of the 2080 Super.
