You are incredible! Since it was easiest, first thing I did was turn down the refresh rate to 60hz (though it says 59.99 in settings no clue why) and it worked! Appreciate the help so so much. (Don't need it to be 144hz when connected to the laptop as the laptop is for work)

FYI, this issue persisted until recently for anyone looking to catch up. I think it was just an issue with my display port or hdmi cord connections.
