Video and Audio issue when upgrading CPU

Seemed to have reduced it by about 90% by turning off Intel Turbo Boost. Not sure if its a conflict between it and my mobo or the demand for more power. The issue is still there its just background noise and can barely be heard over audio.

    iastor.sys is missing or corrupt.

Thank you for the merge. I seem to have got past the iastor.sys error, but I'm now having audio and video issues. Audio on video players, games and system sounds has a crackling sound. Its nonexistent on startup, noticeable on youtube and very bad on high end games. Video players also lag. This...

    iastor.sys is missing or corrupt.

When I fit my new cpu, i7 4790k into my mobo, after post and just before loading Windows I get an error saying iastor.sys is missing or corrupt. I heard this is intel's rapid storage technology file, so I re-downloaded rapid storage but the problem persists. I put back in my old cpu the i5 4460...

Nope, I removed the case fan. It was plugged in to CHA_FAN 1 so I don't know why it messed up my pc

PC Fans spin for 10-20 seconds, computer passes POST, but monitor cannot display signal.

My computer was working fine for a year, but I decided that I should connect the case fan to the moBo. I went to do this, the case fan started spinning but I saw what I thought was smoke come from the mobo. It could have been dust but there was a smell too. All of a sudden, my monitor displays...

New mobo. Unable to use PC.

I've now put back in my old mobo and old CPU, connected the hdmi to gpu ad before and this time works -monitor is on. So it is either my new mobo that's broke or my new i5 3470. When installing a new mobo, is there anything you must do beforehand? As in delete something on the HDD or alter...

My new mobo Is ASrock H61M DGS. I've also put a new i5 3470 and cooler/sink on it. With everything connected my CPU,gpu and psu fans spin when powering on then stop over and over. I decided to remove the atx lead from cpu socket, so the cpu I disconnected. Now my psu fan stays on and doesn't...

My PSU has no molex connectors

Yeah I agree with you. I'll wait till I get the corsair 600cx. No point risking it anyway on a budget psu.
