one of my sugestions would be to have the other house members use a cantenna you can make this on your own and it will help them boost your signal I use one at work. you can see an example here...

BlazeDVD is the best DVD player software so they say, also if i remember correctly double check your dell with windows xp that may be only a CD reader writer and not a dvd reader player in which case you won't be able to use it for dvd's

i was right i attached an external dvd/cd reader writer and being i can't even turn it on it was useless.
