yes you are right. i just checked bios version printed on motherboard and it is 2407 so i think it is more likely bios problem then, i am in contact with Asus service center let us see what happens now

i tried to populate it on A2,B2 initially , but as i was not able to POST it i tried to change the slots and i used all the permutations and combinations with single stick as well as using both sticks in A1,B1 but still it did not POST anything so i returned those two sticks. nevertheless...
