[SOLVED] new GPU really not compatible with motherboard ?

Someone just brought to my attention that the GTX1050ti I got in theory should work, it was a Gigabyte 1050ti and for them, it works in on pci 1.0 in legacy bios. In other forums I've found I'm not the only who has/had this issue and there is no clear answer to which cards will work. They just...

Question No display after installing new GPU, everything still seems to work with the old GPU

little update: i went to return it and they did some more troubleshooting for me, answer i got was that the Asrock 980DE3/U3S3 motherboard i have its pci slot doesnt support the card. weird, the GTX 1050ti is a PCI-e 3.0 x16 and the motherboard is a PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot (PCIE3 @ x16 mode)...

Question No display after installing new GPU, everything still seems to work with the old GPU

Thank you, you are right, I've probably tried everything I could. I just wanted to make sure it couldn't be anything else because I'm not in the mood for the lengthy process of trying to get a replacement for it. One last quick question, I'm assuming the both your gt 1030 and 1050ti draw their...

I will, I'm just trying to do some troubleshooting before I do. I know I can probably get a replacement, but what if I end up with the same issues again. And i don't have another PC to test the GPU on. Also since the box was so well packaged i figure the damage during transport might not be the...
