Hi, all:
Is it worth downloading an ICC color profile? My monitor delivers nice graphics and color, but I've read that they can be enhanced. Does it use one from its CD now? Thank you.
Thanks, burdenbound.
Seems cables go from a DisplayPort on the computer to a DVI port on the monitor; I have opposite: DisplayPort on new monitor and DVI on old computer. Trying to find bi-directional cable now; any ideas?
System's worked great since 2005, but a nice replacement monitor got me looking at other upgrade possibiities -- but being post XP now, may have to replace anyway for new OS.
How pricy a card can the 5100 handle? $150 max. It's great for now; got an Asus VG248 monitor and extra RAM, but long-term don't know if it can run an OS after XP is extinct :)
Thanks, H2tahoe. That's what I thought...my old one has no fan.
Does the one w the fan above also have better specs than the other? Also unsure about power requirements for a new video card -- one poster said the 5100 has a good, underrated PSU.
Side of box says True Power 620 switching power supply
there is a row of figures, 3.3V, 5V, 12V, -12V, -5V, +5V sb. Under +12 it says 20A, is this it?
Thanks clutch
took pic where do I attach?

The Asus VG248QE works beautifully with my Dell Dimension 5100 and its Radeon X300 SE video card. Just watched Star Trek into Darkness. Can also get new PSU and video card for ~$50 total. Thanks anyway, much appreciated.
