Question Info on Expo with Asus ROG STRIX X670E-E GAMING WIFI with AMD Ryzen 7 7700X ?

    1) Make sure you have the latest BIOS available for your X670E-E: -> LINK <-. Everything is fixed in the latest BIOS so you won't need to worry. 2) With EXPO I only the main timings are taken from the EXPO profile built in your RAM sticks, the subtimings are left on Auto which means the...

Info Gamers Nexus Roasts Asus Behavior re: AM5 Motherboards

Does the "press F2 or DEL to enter BIOS" window appear on your screen at least for a couple of seconds? Because for me it does not, the monitor turns on only when Windows starts loading.

Question What MOBO is safe for AMD 7950x

It's not important. It's just if you're scared of your PC frying - it's nice to update BIOS before you even turn it on for the first time. It did fix the SoC voltages, at least for me. Has somebody lost their motherboard/CPU after they updated BIOS to AGESA 1.0.0.7a? Because there were reports...

Question What MOBO is safe for AMD 7950x

AGESA 1.0.0.7A is supposed to have fixed those overvoltage issues. According to [Sammelthread] AM5 AGESA/UEFI/BIOS Info & Laberthread, ASRock & ASUS released BIOSes based on it, MSI released beta BIOSes based on it, so you may update BIOS as soon as possible and I guess it will be OK, especially...

Info Gamers Nexus Roasts Asus Behavior re: AM5 Motherboards

ASUS released BIOSes based on AGESA 1.0.0.7a, check out your motherboard support page. No beta this time. And this time both VDDCR_SOC and CPU SOC voltages seem to stay within 1.3V. It's a bit sad that it took such beating from several known youtubers for ASUS to realize simple things - you...

Info Gamers Nexus Roasts Asus Behavior re: AM5 Motherboards

It does seem like they resell the RMA'd motherboards and also those which they previously sent to some reviewers and then received back. How else could one explain the radiators covered in something that looks like sawdust and especially those greasy stains near the socket like in the pictures...

Info Ryzen 7000 fixes have actually made my new build better!

There's two SoC voltages reported in HWiNFO: CPU VDDCR_SOC and CPU SOC. For me, the first one is not higher than 1.29V no matter what, and the other one is up to 1.341V. Might be they limited the wrong voltage?

Question The "press DEL or F2 to enter BIOS" window won't show

Hi. Not sure if it's visible when the iGPU is enabled, but it's definitely not when the iGPU is disabled. I disable the iGPU because it causes additional microfreezes in CS:GO. So to enter BIOS I need to keep pressing DEL or F2 when the screen is still all black. Is it "by design" or there's a...

Question 7900x stays at 95C constantly under load ?

Yeah, I wouldn't be so sure, considering. And looks like it's still issues even in the latest AGESA 1.0.0.7: https://wccftech.com/current-amd-agesa-1-0-0-7-bios-firmware-riddled-with-bugs-patched-version-intro-thermal-limitations-fix-memory-compatibility/

Info Ryzen 7000 fixes have actually made my new build better!

Well, I'm not sure ASUS fixed anything with their AGESA 1.0.0.7-based beta-BIOS. CPU SOC still 1.34V in average. And those temperatures, oh God... I know it's CinebenchR23 for 10 minutes and it's "just Noctua NH-D15", but... EXPO II by the way.

Info Ryzen 7000 fixes have actually made my new build better!

Looks like ASUS is the first one to release BIOSes based on the new AGESA (1.0.0.7) that's supposed to fix all those protections that had been malfunctioning before. For now it's not for all the motherboards and it's BETA but still. [Sammelthread] AM5 AGESA/UEFI/BIOS Info & Laberthread

Question 🔥 Ryzen 7700X overheat - is the CPU too much for Noctua D15 ❓

The readings might be right though. ASUS released a beta BIOS that limits the SoC voltage to 1.3V on all Ryzen 7000 processors (HWiNFO shows 1.29V now instead of 1.34V like on the screenshot) and shows the following warning when you try to change the Ai Overclock Tuner from Auto to XMP/EXPO...
