    SATA vs M.2 SSD

There is significant performance increase for tasks like copying/moving files and from average to non-significant performance for everything else. However, the point is different. SSD market currently is in process of transition to M.2 PCIe SSDs and M.2 PCIe drives become cheaper. There is...

    Is Crucial mx300 worth it?

This is a reliable drive from respected manufacturer (Micron). It's not as good as Samsung in terms of perfomance, but considering it's price, Crucial MX300 is the best SSD in terms of price/performance overall.

960 PRO IOPS which version should I get?

The performance of 1 Tb version is about 10% better, so basically there is almost no difference. There is no point to buy a larger version because of performance.

Which SSD and HDD are the Most Reliable Ones?

SSD - Samsung. Intel makes reliable enterprise SSDs, but their Intel 540s is a trash. HDD - arguable. What is definitely not reliable is Seagate. Probably HGST is the most reliable, but there is no clear leader.

Samsung 960 EVO NVMe SSD Review

Glad I decided not to wait for the reviews/release and bought SM961 for the same price as EVO. It's more risky, there is no official support, but the difference in performance turned out to be huge. I don't agree with Chris that Samsung is not considering 250 Gb version to be bestselling...

    Crucial MX300 2TB SSD Review

"We are currently in the middle of a NAND shortage due to the slower than expected transition to 3D NAND, new smartphones with increased capacity, and an assortment of flash-powered products coming to market. One company representative told me just days ago that, in his opinion, this is the...

    New OEM Samsung nvme SSD's

The main difference between OEM and consumer drives is that OEM drives are intended for sale to system builders and not as a separate product to consumers. Thus there is no official support and warranty from manufacturer (Samsung in this case). Samsung usually releases 2 versions of their new...

    Mushkin Triactor SSD Review

Samsung has changed the release dates of Samsung 960 (once again) on their site and set specific dates. The release date of Samsung 960 PRO 512GB/1TB is November 18. The release date of Samsung 960 EVO (all versions) and Samsung 960 PRO 2 TB is December 19.

MyDigitalSSD BPX Value NVMe SSD Review

This is actually not a bad budget NVMe SSD. This SSD is more like what Intel 600p should look like. Because Intel 600p is a disgrace for a NVMe drive. However Samsung 960 EVO will cost about the same, especially 250 Gb version.

    MX300 vs 850 Evo

Samsung 850 EVO, probably, is the best and the most reliable SSD ever. And the most popular SSD as well. This drive is really out of competition so Samsung set the price for it 10$-20$ higher than other competitors. Crucial MX300 is a great SSD as well. It's worse than Samsung 850 EVO in terms...

Patriot Hellfire M.2 240GB NVMe SSD Review

Btw some Polish and German tech sites already received samples of Samsung 960 Pro so it's interesting that you didn't received them yet. https://scontent-waw1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-0/s480x480/14729397_2937997012914136_7324007564864990086_n.jpg?oh=e0996b629cf74e7be362bd42809d54f2&oe=58AA4E34...

Patriot Hellfire M.2 240GB NVMe SSD Review

Another meaningless and overpriced drive. The only thing that may help all these vendors to compete with Samsung is the price but usually they constantly overstate it, making it too close to Samsung 950 Pro. Samsung is going to kill them all with 960 EVO.

Patriot Hellfire M.2 240GB NVMe SSD Review

"The Hellfire M.2 is currently the only NVMe SSD to target the middle, but that will change next month when Samsung ships the 960 EVO to resellers" The release date of Samsung 960 EVO/PRO is October. Or you know "something"?
