    Dreaded NO SIGNAL! help!! =0

Not a bad idea I suppose, I have just been too trusting of vista as of late (I knew I'd get burned on it someday somehow). I spent like 6 hours trying to fix what has to be, the stupidest PC problem I"ve ever seen lol. I hope vista doesn't have any other nasty surprises in store for me in the...

    Dreaded NO SIGNAL! help!! =0

169.25 I have uninstalled and reinstalled this several times now, and tried all sorts of resolutions. Before this problem I was using some beta drivers 171 or something like that. I have never had a problem like this before, this PC is only a couple months old and given outstanding...

    Dreaded NO SIGNAL! help!! =0

PROBLEM somewhat IDENTIFIED AND SOLVED!--- Swapping from my DVI to VGA cables worked. Why I don't know, but it worked. Check this thread out if you are also experiencing this problem, some people may need to revert to ancient drivers, but for me swapping cables worked!---...

OCing 8800GTS+vista= how to check for artifacts?

I am a noob to overclocking vid cards I admit it (using rivatuner) and I am trying to overclock my 8800GTS (G92) BFG graphics card. But I came across a problem..... Many overclocking guides say to use 3Dmark or ATI tools to check for artifacts (to know when you have pushed your GPU to the...

    Is my E8400 overheating?

Don't worry bout it, yer fine. No matter how many times you remount it or reapply paste, you will probably see little to no difference. As I mentioned earlier the E84's (some) have faulty heat sensors. It is not a big deal. I have had my E84 overclocked to 3.6ghz for almost a month now and...

    Is my E8400 overheating?

I am surprised nobody here mentioned this already-- The 8400's are known to have bad heat sensors. Heck, mine says it is 55-65C at idle as well... No biggy. It is running cooler then your apps will say.

All quiet on the E8400 front. Why?

Not much talk about the E84? 1- too new, lot of people don't have it yet 2- people like me just got it! too busy having fun 3- many others at these forums are waiting for Q9xx's or beyond I pushed mine up to 3.6ghz on stock cooling and has been such a great performer, that I feel as though I...

Radeon 3870X2 - My First Impressions

Hmm, glad I didn't wait for the 3870X2 then. My E8400 and 8800GTS (512mb) play Crysis with everything on very high (and I mean everything) but no AA--- bout 20-30fps (playable for me) (no mods), and I haven't even overclocked my GTS yet! This on vista ultimate 32bit of all things. So not very...

    It's Official.... ATI is screwed.

All this price gouging lol, thank goodness I said screw it and went with that $300 GTS (just lovin it). I think the 3870 will fall if NV's GT continues to fall.

    ~The E8400 preparation thread~

Yep, hopefully you won't need to bother flashing the bios either. :) First build eh? I am kinda a noob at this too, but I better give ya advice that woulda saved me hours of needless work last night---- Be careful during the install now. I forgot to put pushup mounting screws on my case (I...
