The RAM usage has been like this for a while. It'll go away and then come back randomly even when all updates have been installed.

I've been noticing a few strange things on my machine. One, the windows update service keeps using up way more RAM than I've seen it use on other similar computers (around 100mb at idle) and after installing my new video card today I saw mrt.exe open in my task manager. should I be concerned?

A little of both. With the nh-d15 I can push my 4790k to 4.9ghz at 1.29v but temps aren't too great, a custom loop would help out but I know I'm not going to justify 300ish dollars on a couple hundred extra mhz. I want to do it well.. because.. I really want to do it.

Hi! Just to give you some reassurance, I also have a 4790k and it does 4.7ghz at 1.18v. It looks like we both hit the silicon lottery! My temps using realbench get to about 65 in a room that is 20ish c. I'm curious though, have you pushed yours further? At 1.29v I can do 4.9ghz totally stable...
