With Touchbar, Apple Is Grasping At Straws (Opinion)

Apple has never been a "great innovator", at least not any time during the memory of anyone under the age of 50. What Apple has done well, at times very well, is take what is there already and either make it better or combine it with something else in an unexpected (and not always useful) way...

Corning Intoduces Gorilla Glass With Printed Images

It may not have anything to do with the extra space around the screen. The S6 and S7 have glass on the back. With the ever-disappearing phone bezels, I'm not sure that's something the market would want anyway. It's not too much of a stretch to suggest that they might want to add some kind of...

Ultrabook As Gaming PC: Razer's Blade Stealth Laptop And Core External GPU Dock

Hey, for $1500 for an i7 laptop with a 4k screen and 512GB SSD, I could put up with some dragons. And you can always change the lighting to white if you want (255, 255, 255), or even turn it off, I'm sure. If I hadn't just bought my Spectre X360 last year, I'd definitely be looking into getting...

Dell Introduces World's First InfinityEdge Monitors And 30-inch OLED Monitor

I think someone at Tom's needs to look up the definitions for "razor-thin" and "almost invisible". 5.3/8.3 mm is certainly thin for a monitor bezel, but doesn't qualify for either of those descriptions outside of rank hyperbole.

Samsung Galaxy Note5 Phablet: Hands-On Video

"On the Note 4, this menu would pop up when you removed the Pen from its slot, and on demand by pressing a button on the phone. However, it would quickly disappear, sometimes not giving you enough time to select an option." Has the author of this article ever even used a Note 4? For one thing...

Boondogl Promises Cross-Platform Video Game Market, Beta Launching Soon

Boondoggle: (n) -- "work or activity that is wasteful or pointless but gives the appearance of having value". With a company name like that, maybe skepticism is warranted...

Apple Offers Repair Extension Program For Defective MacBook Pros

I remember HP had a similar issue with some of its laptops a few years back. The ideal fix worked out among the tech community was--no lie--to thermal paste a *penny* between the video chip and the (poorly designed) video heatsink.

Surface Type Cover 2: Thinner and Sensitive Under Pressure

@warezme: Despite the rudeness, wittermark does have a point. This is a Win8 device, and a number of the Win8 touch gestures do require a bezel to swipe from. Also, from a personal perspective, I have a Galaxy S4. It's a lovely phone; thin, with very little bezel. Unfortunately it often drives...
