Are you absolutely sure you plugged the SATA cable back into the same one it was initially in? All cables seated properly? Also, if you only just occasionally use the CD drive (as most do anymore), you could just buy a USB CD/DVD burner for those few occasions.

The A10 will certainly be better than the A6 with the 750ti GPU, but if you have a choice the Athlon's are all you need (as any integrated GPU will not even be utilized with the 750ti in the system. The 880k for the FM2+ motherboard may be less expensive too.
