I got a new desktop but the mic quality of my earbuds is horrendous when plugged into it. I'm using a splitter like this to plug them. I know that the problem is not with the earbuds because they work perfectly with my phone and my laptop.

Edit: it worked after I switched to "speakers". The option is now gone and the only option is the PHL one, but the earbuds are still working. Strange, but I won't complain.
I have two drives on my computer, an HDD (C drive) and an SSD (D drive). I cloned Windows 10 into the SSD and changed the boot order in the BIOS so that the SSD is first, but the computer still boots into the HDD. What do I do?
