Don't get GTX 980, which is fast but last generation. If you want to get a new card, get either GTX 1070 or 1060. 1060 beats GTX 980 in almost every game and is below $300. GTX 1070 delivers crazy performance at about $400. It won't go wring with either card.

AMD don't you fail on us this time like what Bulldozer did. We need AMD to be ACTUALLY competitive in terms of performance against Intel's offerings.

I started building my own about 16 years ago. Asus did it. Who would know this could be done 10, 20, 30 years ago.

Idiots buy this 3GB version when RX480 has 8GB and the full 1060 has 6GB.

If both slots don't work, return it. And get another one. I would also consider ASUS Strix 1070, which has equally good design like G1. Both have insane cooling and also much better PCB designs than FE cards.
