I would expect an OC, even a hefty one, to only be good for a 20 fps boost at most. Look up a review of that specific card OCed and see if it fits the bill.

I believe a nVIDIA GPU would be the best choice here. The CUDA technology will help a lot with Adobe. Also the VRAM shouldn't be of too much concern, depending on resolution 2GBs should plenty. Also nVidia GPUs use a lot less power then AMD.

That virus clearly has damaged critical Windows system files. Either reinstall or do a repair of Windows 7 with a Windows 7 DVD or upgrade to Windows 10.

Have you tried a system restore to point before this happened? Did you do anything to your computer before this started happening?

I want to build a z wave network of devices around my home, but instead using a standard device to control them, I want to use software ran on a Windows or Linux PC to control the devices. Anyone familiar with this? I'm mostly interested in z-wave but would consider zigbee.

Probably won't help, but try reseating the GPU making sure its installed correctly and the additional power cables are hooked up to the GPU.
