Hello DComander1x, Thanks for the help. I went into the BIOS and by renaming the SSD as an IDE, tricked WinXP into installing the OS. It is working like a charm! I realize that I will have to upgrade to either 7 or 8, but am holding out as long as possible. Do you have a preference? Glenna
