    That X58 board uses triple channel memory and has 6 ram slots. The Z77 uses dual channel and has 4 slots, and both memory configurations you have posted don't make sense.     36GB of this same memory worked on my other board (MSI Eclipse SLI Intel X58 Chipset CrossFire and SLI Supported w/7.1 Sound, Triple-Channel DDR3) I left 12GB on the old board and put this 24GB on this new board that I got from Newegg.

    I have 24GB of Memory ( 24 GB [6 GB X4 DDR3-1333 Triple Memory Module Corsair XMS3 Dominator w/DHX technology) on the ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX Intel Motherboard, however the board is only reporting 8GB (2GB for each)
