36GB of this same memory worked on my other board (MSI Eclipse SLI Intel X58 Chipset CrossFire and SLI Supported w/7.1 Sound, Triple-Channel DDR3) I left 12GB on the old board and put this 24GB on this new board that I got from Newegg.
