This is my build that I'm putting together, all brand new parts: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/RJbbTW I have the motherboard running (the start button doesn't work but shorting the power pins does) and the fans for the cpu and gpu are running smoothly. The only problem is that the CPU LED is solid...

In isn't in the case at all. It's on cardboard on a table. But as an update, I managed to turn it on by shorting the power pins. The fans ran and everything so that's great. I just don't know why the start button on the mobo doesn't work now

I took off the cooler and got the chip back out and everything looks fine. Nothing bent, nothing where it shouldn't be. Installed them back on and removed everything else. No RAM, no GPU, only the cpu, cpu cooler and the mobo. Still nothing happens when I press the start button
