How could I identify the QoS program on my machine? What is a QoS program? I also know I don’t have cfosspeed or gamefirst.

I was getting high ping and packet loss in a game, and I disabled my ethernet adapter, which automatically put me onto my wifi card, and I went back to normal ping and no packet loss. Does this explain anything? Does this mean something is wrong with my ethernet adapter?
