    I don't get what the advantage of recording to the Cloud is. You can already stream recorded programs from your Tivo box (Bolt or Roamio) to another device inside our outside the house. Putting the recordings in the Cloud just lessens the reliability and runs up your data to/from your ISP.

    Realize things get more expensive as they are made smaller. Also, if I recall correctly, they have to pay Microsoft more for the Windows license on this than the tiny netbooks because it doesn't have a tiny monitor.

    I'm not following this. I would assume you'd need to have the NFC tag attached to create and then verify a backup. If so, that would mean that the only time the device would be secure would be when you removed the tag or had the device removed from the system and stored away somewhere separate...
