Hi I went in on control panel\ performance information and tools and I realized that the (desktop performance for windows Aero and the 3D business and gaming graphics performance) had dropped from 7.7 to 7.6. What has happened? I'm grateful for the answers.

So the cpu-fan who comes with the cpu in the cpu-box has thermal compound on it?

Are there some cpu's who already have thermal compound on them? If it is, how do i know if a cpu already has thermal compound on it?

What do i have to do if I want to switch motherboard but not the cpu? Do i need to do something with the cpu?

Why do i need a new thermal paste? I have seen a guy building a computer without putting any thermal paste on the cpu.
