    Finally got it to work after resetting default bios settings and changing remote wakeup source from local hard disk to 'remote server' and nic option rom download to disable. Thanks a bunch!!

    I couldn't find PXE or a similar setting in bios. I have enabled network boot and I've set the 'Remote wake up boot source' to Local Hard Drive. Edit - There is a setting called 'NIC Option ROM Download' and it is set to 'PXE'. The other settings are 'iSCSI' or 'disabled'.
