Revert back to default drivers and try re-installing the latest one. If that is no help, try checking your GPU temp under load and post it here.

I would base it off of the manual of your laptop or any other info that is given about your laptop.. truthfully, I myself don't consider Crucial a reputable brand to begin with. Go with what your laptop is specified to take, not what Crucial suggests on their site when you put your MOBO and CPU...

Don't waste the extra money on the 4790K.. just get a 4770K and put a slight OC on it. And honestly even 83C on a Radeon card is nothing. They can handle much more than an Nvidia card thats for sure. Do you have an OC on your GPU?

Do not listen to Spliceberry. DO NOT get an AMD chip. Waste of money, and they require heavy aftermarket cooling to OC them. In the long run, just pick up an Intel chip, put a slight OC on it, and even without the new cooling unit you WILL be fine. A GTX 780 and an i5 4670K would kick the butt...

Trust HWMonitor over everything. With an AMD chip, you're good up until 62C on the core, and 70C on the CPU itself. (Used to have an 8350 OC'd to 5.0GHz)
