    Question CPU temp at 97 degrees even at idle

    I have an omen laptop with an i7-8750h and the clock speed that it's sitting at constantly is around 3.7ghz when the base clock is 2.2. This is resulting in my laptop being at close to 100 degrees celsius even in idle. How do i fix it?

    cpu or gpu upgrade?

    I am running an i3 6100 and a gtx 750 but am thinking about upgrading to an i5 6600k and a gtx 960 or 950 but I can only but one of them first so which one? will i3 bottleneck 960/950 or will my cpu fall behind? Iam using asrock z170 extreme 4
