Could you explain the BIOS part for me? How do I check for an update for the bios? I restored windows completely, uninstalled drivers and tried several other driver versions but none of them work sadly. I obviously checked they were the correct ones for my GPU and system.

I'm not so sure about how old it is because I got it from a cousin, I assume its 6/7 years old. Yeah it worked perfectly before with no issues, the BSODs started in the middle of a driver update.
