700 watt is a decent supply and is more than enough to run a GTX 1060 - you could prolly run 2 or 3. All you motherboard needs is a PCIe slot, which if you are already using a GTX 750 you obviously have.

Thread here saying GB boards can suffer from this problem... with few bios tweeks you can try. I was going to suggest disabling legacy support on USBs as well. One thing you didn't mention was the bios, you should update to the latest version maybe...

What happened during bios update? Did it go correctly? Normally you should get an update successful message after. Have you tried clearing the CMOS since the update? (Completely remove battery for about an hour - doesn't always take that long, depends on model but just to be on the safe side)

Why is this a problem? You said your PSU is connected to the only power socket on the board no, the 18 pin one, so what is the problem? Did the PSU die? Did you already see this thread? Someone blames conflict with a USB game controller... are there any peripherals connected to your USB which could conflict? On that note can you try with a different keyboard and or mouse...

This may be completely off the mark but I am just suggesting as you seem to have checked thoroughly already... I once had problem with SSD causing crashes and restarts because of the firmware, once I updated it was okay. Maybe check firmware updates for your other hardware too, you didn't...

UPDATE: So today I noticed that under Disk Drives in Device Manager USB was setup for Quick Removal rather than Best Performance... changing that option upped speeds from 1Mb/s to 20-40Mb/s... which is better but still not the speed you would expect from USB 3.0 surely? Isn't max USB 3.0...

Have you tried hitting F12 (I think normally) and choosing the boot order manually? Are you sure the USB is actually being recognized as a bootable drive? (you can check by plugging into any windows 10 machine, normally the icon is different for bootable media with little green arrow) If you...
