    By going i5, you save 90$. By going for an h97 mobo you save 30$. And you said you would add 100$ for better performance. If you add the 220$ you can affor the 980.

    If you are not Overclocking, then get the cheaper xeon 1231v3 which is essentially a 4770 without integrated gpu. Since you are not ocing, get an h81 board and add the money up for a gtx 980 ;)
