    There's no need to make a backup because I was just testing and putting windows 98 on it and erasing the drive. But it kept working reliably when it was showing up as only 60mb

    For some strange reason i got it working when i unplugged it for a while.

    I've got a 60GB IDE hard drive (IDE to USB adapter) and it's only showing up as 60MB in Windows 7. I've tried a lot whit diskpart etc. but could't get it back to the original 60GB. How can i fix this? Thanks in advance
