I just got an e4400 and a p5l-mx and overclocked the fsb to 285 from 200. the multi is 10x, how come in cpu-z the core speed changes from 1708 to 2850 ie the multi goes from 6x to 10x. when the computer is idle its at 6x, but when i open media center or something it goes to 10x. is this normal?

Think is I didnt want to spend much money. Would it be better just for me to get something like the evga 650i mobo and an e4400 and just overclock the hell out of it, big performance difference?
