[SOLVED] native 12vhpwr (Seasonic vertex) Heat Shrink Tubing?

I don't see evga going back with Nvidia, However it'd be kinda cool if they ever decided to make there on gpu or go with a competitor of Nvidia. don't get me wrong I like nvidia card's for there reliability, but there business practices are shady, so I understand why evga left. I've tried amd...

[SOLVED] native 12vhpwr (Seasonic vertex) Heat Shrink Tubing?

In this case it's not the bend but cable quality, unlike the cable from say evga cables which are bundled together in a cloth mesh, the Seasonic cables are just bundled together with zip ties. and as your running your cables it's extremally easy to get them crossed. by using the split wire...

[SOLVED] native 12vhpwr (Seasonic vertex) Heat Shrink Tubing?

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I have heat shrieked cables before but nothing that small, I decided however, not to go heat shrinking, because of the risk, instead I think I'll use split wire loom tubing that's used mostly for automotive wiring harness. that should protect the cables and...

[SOLVED] native 12vhpwr (Seasonic vertex) Heat Shrink Tubing?

Hello, I was wondering if heat shrink tubing would melt the 4 sense wires on the native 12vhpwr cable, because they are small and fragile. The Seasonic user manual say's don't put strain on the connecter or wiring because this could lead to overheating which could lead to melting. Also it...

[SOLVED] rtx 4090 MB x299 riser cable 3.0 computability

yeah I was wondering about cable quality and the length, because I realize the riser cables arn't made equal. but what I'll need is a 230mm - 440mm with a 90 degree angle at the gpu side. longer wouldn't hurt. and considering my motherboard doesn't support 4.0 pcie only pcie 3.0, I need a...

[SOLVED] rtx 4090 MB x299 riser cable 3.0 computability

Okay thank you very much for your response, yeah I have a seasonic vertex 1200 watt, which is replacing a 10 year old 1300 evga Super nova. and my bios is updated to the current version. I've never had to use riser cables before, but with the cards getting so big it's just unavoidable not to...

[SOLVED] rtx 4090 MB x299 riser cable 3.0 computability

Hello, I have a question About riser cables, Gpu and Motherboard. I have a x299 motherboard which runs pcie 3.0. I know that the rtx 4090 is pcie 4.0 and is backwards compatible with 3.0. Nevertheless, I am wanting to know if anyone knows if a 3.0 pcie riser cable will work connected to the rtx...

Question Storage M.2 Gen 4/Motherboard Vroc compatiblity

Okay, so it's been a rough week for me when testing and trying to get all of this stuff to work as intended. Nevertheless, it's Mostly finished and working great so far. Moreover, I had to rebuild both my systems, including the water loop in my main system. All of this because of the pci...

Question Storage M.2 Gen 4/Motherboard Vroc compatiblity

Okay I've been doing some testing with my bios today, after realizing my oversight thanks to skynetrising, it does seem I can run gpu 1 at 16x and gpu at 8x and pcie 5 at 4x4x4x4. Now if my math is right this will give me 40 pcie lane in use, plus the 4 lanes the os m.2 will use which will give...

Question Storage M.2 Gen 4/Motherboard Vroc compatiblity

yeah I might be able to configure it to 8x speeds for the gpu's, however I'd have to remove my capture card and sound card as well. and if I can do this that would be a total of 36 lanes because of the os drive. Now I know the bios has the options but that doesn't mean it will work. I'm not sure...

Question Storage M.2 Gen 4/Motherboard Vroc compatiblity

I'm running a 7960x cpu which supports up to 44 lanes. Hmm I over looked that, I would have to set the two gpu's to 8x so I can run the 4 on the third pcie x16 slot, if it will allow it that is, or upgrade the cpu to the 10980xe but this late in the game dunno about that.

Question Storage M.2 Gen 4/Motherboard Vroc compatiblity

Okay, I haven't heard nothing from asus, but asrock did respond back to me and confirmed that a vroc was needed to enable raid 1,5, 10 on that motherboard. I also, learned that the pcie card will not support raid unless the vroc module is installed. However, it will function as a normal card...
