I want to overclock my amd phemon ii x4 965 on a stock acer aspire x3400 motherboard, don't tell me it isn't possible, because it allows me to run the autotune test on catalyst (runs stable), but of course the multiplier doesn't save. Any suggestions?

Will a Alpine 11 PRO Rev.2 (http://www.arctic.ac/us_en/alpine-11-pro-rev-2.html) work on am3 socket motherboard (using an AMD phenom ii x4 965)? Also if that doesn't fix can I use the stock fan I got with my AMD athlon x2 220 (previous cpu)?
