Hmm... Cannot even see the "Master" chip on the 4870 X2; only the "Slave"; so I cannot flash it straight out... This is beginning to concern me. Any ideas?

Thanks COLGeek, but wurkfur is right. It is possible to flash the GPU again; just wanted to clarify with the people of this forum on whether or not it was still possible. I backed up the old BIOS, so I can re-flash it.

"Accidentally" flashed the Master chip Diamond 4870X2 with the 5870 Bios, in order to gain Eyefinity... I knew this would not work, being a computer technician, but it was an experiment none-the-less. However, now my computer won't post, and the Mobo gives the BIOS Beep that indicates that...

The 5850 is the more powerful card. The 6850 has more features, and has much better Crossfire potential. So, either tell them to stick it up their a** and get them to give you a 5850... Or accept that, and buy another 6850 in the future.

You could go a 6770, and see a significant framerate... Personally, I would invest the extra cash into a 6870 or a 5850/70 if your wanting to play BattleField 3. The 6870 might suit more to your processors performance though...
