    First Time Build Advice!

G skill and corsair both make good RAM kits. Just get a good 1600 or 1866 speed at 1.5v with cas 8 or 9 and you'll be good.

    First Time Build Advice!

Would change up a few things. This gets you way under budget, and gets dual 780s in SLI which will easily max out everything at 1440p, much better than a single 780 Ti. PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor...

    Need a PSU

The EVGA 600b is the lowest I would recommend. The SeaSonic is much better overall quality. Not sure about what your friend is saying. Not heard anything more than what you normally see in reviews that someone got a dead unit - which is going to happen with any brand/model.

    1500 Gaming Pc

If he's not going to be overclocking why did you recommend he spend a ton of extra money wasting it on parts specifically for overclocking? Even then, the RM series is poor quality for what it costs. And he is in Canada and can only buy from Newegg Canada (check the OP), making whatever it costs...

    Is this a good build?

Don't go with that CPU. Going with an overclockable i5, you can get better gaming performance out of an i5 and you can upgrade to a 280x to get you Ultra/Max at 1080p, and better every day performance. PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K...

    1500 Gaming Pc

Don't waste money on 16GB of RAM, and don't get the RM750, the RM series uses inferior capacitors and isn't very good for overclocking/high heat situations. Not to mention the be Quiet! isn't available at Newegg Canada and that build is about $400 over budget lol

Will all of these pc parts all work?

Well if it's only that much, that's a good deal. Might as well get that one then lol Usually those kinds of coolers are 2 or 3 times as expensive as the EVO. You could definitely stick with the Seidon then.

    1500 Gaming Pc

This will easily max out everything at 1080p, and is fairly compact. PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($259.98 @ Newegg Canada) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper N520 43.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler...

Will all of these pc parts all work?

Can you not just order the 212 now? The stock cooler would definitely be fine for 1-2 weeks if you need to go that route.

    Best Hardware Configuration

I would grab a new power supply before throwing in the 770. Other than that, the setup you listed would be good for Ultra/Max at 1080p :) Very good overall build. The i5 + SSD will make every day computing fly.

    Need a new PSU :/ (i think)

That system when overclocked will only pull around 550-575w, so the wattage of your power supply is sufficient. The problem is RAIDMAX is a crappy brand that puts out very poor quality power supplies. The reason it would have been fine before but not anymore is that it degrades MUCH faster than...

Will all of these pc parts all work?

You're extremely overpaying for something not needed if you're not overclocking, but it's your call lol Enjoy it :)

    Frame rate drops in games

Yeah, the Extreme3 can barely get enough power to the 8320 with its poor 4+1 power delivery lol I'm 96.2% sure that's what's happening. You need a motherboard that can supply the right amount of power to that. This looks like it was copy/pasted from a pre-built's webpage. If I were you I would...

    Gaming PC build Advice

Just a few changes to get under the $1400 number, a better power supply, wireless adapter, and GPU. Also threw in the TX3 cooler to keep the CPU very cool, but also very quiet. Try to stay away from XFX if you can, and Gigabyte's Windforce is very good at keeping the 290 cool :) PCPartPicker...
