Question New Xerox printer prints very well except...?

... my document doesn't look the same AT ALL. tl;dr: Different printers print the SAME document, witha much lighter font. Background I created a course and (sort of) make a living selling it. I print the 398 pages, hole punch them, put in binders, into boxes, ship and that's my day's work...

Question Delay of a few seconds seemingly every time I load or save files ?

Yep, you were right. I found right away that the dynamic volume of drive E: was the culprit. After deleting all partitions and restoring the data, everything seems to work well enough. It's not blazing fast, but saved games are usually very manageable in size. Thank you!!

Question Delay of a few seconds seemingly every time I load or save files ?

Thank you!!! I did what you suggest and it instantly became obvious that it was my "Documents" drive, the E:/ which is the older 1tb Western Digital mechanical drive which is blocking reads and writes, stopping I/O for up to about 20 seconds. This HDD was, a long time ago, divided into a...

Question Delay of a few seconds seemingly every time I load or save files ?

So a year or so ago I got sick and tired of always being the last guy entering a game, even though I had a SATA SSD for my games. So I upgraded to a shiny 2Tb M.2. But the delay persisted. Then I got a new motherboard and made a whole new install of Windows 10, and the delay persisted. Then I...

[SOLVED] Which printer for long documents of color text?

Well this business is only just now taking off, printing a $2500 course only about twice a month for now, but I am developing ways to increase demand to where I can sell a few every week. I don't want to outsource anything. It all must be done in-house. Once business picks up, I'll probably...

[SOLVED] Which printer for long documents of color text?

Well, I don't really WANT TO spend 5k but if that's what it will take... I'll do it. This is my main business after all.

[SOLVED] Which printer for long documents of color text?

I print a fairly large document (400 pages) repeatedly. It is all text, and color. My current printer is OK, but can't print more than 35 or so pages at a time, when I'm lucky, wihtout the paper tangling in the output tray and the pages becoming all mixed up. Obviously when I am publishing such...

[SOLVED] Windows 7 install on B450

What I have done is somewhat convoluted, but works. I created an installation USB drive with my image of Windows 7 and the gigabyte AM4 win7 tool. Then, using a drive that is connected to a PC with windows in it, create a small partition on that drive, copy all the files from the USB install...

Going from RAID0 SSD Win 7 to Win 10 no RAID SSD

How do I preserve my user profile's access to files and such? There is no "briefcase" wizard anymore, like in the good old win'98 days... :P

Going from RAID0 SSD Win 7 to Win 10 no RAID SSD

Given that the RAID is giving me some occasional errors but no gain in performance, I want my next install to be RAID-free. My backup tool is Acronis True Image Home 2011. Also, I have multiple hard drives and most of my documents are on others besides C:\ I don't really mind losing installed...

How do I get Win7 to put ALL NEW DATA on my D: Drive?

You have everything wrong, photonboy. You clearly didn't read my post. I'm not talking about the win updates or temp files. I am not 8 years old either, I know a bit about my PC. Please read the info posted in the original post, because your answer is contextually irrelevant. Sorry. My "main...

How do I get Win7 to put ALL NEW DATA on my D: Drive?

Uh, mount a directory as a directory on another drive? I don't understand your solution. There are shortcuts to folders, yet I doubt those apps that insist on putting things inside C:/users/user/My documents/ will go for it...

How do I get Win7 to put ALL NEW DATA on my D: Drive?

I am sick and tired of Windows (and installed software) seemingly insisting, no matter what, on putting data on my C:/ drive. I have a D:/ drive for that. And I also have another HDD which is the E:/ drive, as if that weren't enough. Oh and my SSD RAID array (I know, useless) on F:/. Anyway, I...
