Question Looking to replace wifi card for Dell G5 5090 Desktop

Is this it? If so, what are the 2 wires? They look like antennas? They currently snake down and into the front cover/chassis (not sure if I'm explaining that correctly). It looks like I can detach/unscrew the 2 wires and take out the wifi card. Then insert new one and re-attach the 2 wires?

Question Looking to replace wifi card for Dell G5 5090 Desktop

Thank you! I didn't realize it was using a M.2 slot. Would any M.2 card work? Are they all created equal if the specs are similar?

Question Looking to replace wifi card for Dell G5 5090 Desktop

Hi all, I have a Dell G5 5090 Desktop, not laptop, which is the majority of the search results out there. My wifi card is bugging out and constantly showing I have no internet when I clearly do. It's a bug that is off and on. Since I don't think its my network (nothing else, including other...

Question Upgrading HD - Best Way w/o Starting from Scratch

Sorry for being unclear. I was just asking how I can consolidate all of those partitions. I'm not sure why they are there. Dell must partition them off for some reason.... It's not a huge deal though. Thanks.

Question Upgrading HD - Best Way w/o Starting from Scratch

Alright. I used the "extend" option (as opposed to "merge") after carefully reading the documentation. It seemed to have worked except it didn't take all of the drive space. There is some left over. Here is what it looks like: 2 questions. 1. What do I do about the leftover space that didn't...

Question Upgrading HD - Best Way w/o Starting from Scratch

Here is what it looks like: Note that I originally had "unallocated volume" in that area. Extend Volume" was not available so I created a simple volume (removed the letter) and this is where I ended up. I am unsure of what to do next. Thoughts? Thank you .

Question Upgrading HD - Best Way w/o Starting from Scratch

It worked! It took a while for me to realize that I had to plug the bootable USB in the back and not the front. Prior, Macrium wasn't reading the drive. 45 minutes later, I think we're good. One issue that I have and have read to be common. My C drive does not display the correct max volume...

Question Upgrading HD - Best Way w/o Starting from Scratch

Right. Thank you. I'm just trying to confirm if I can boot from the USB to test it w/o doing damage to the computer before I attempt the swap. In other words, can I boot from USB, see that it works and then reboot back from the C drive after confirming?

Question Upgrading HD - Best Way w/o Starting from Scratch

Yes, it is the one I am going to swap but I'm not sure what the difference is? Even if I tested it on another computer, the situation would be the same because both computers would be fully functional. I did check disk management and the partition style is master boot record..... Thank you.

Question Upgrading HD - Best Way w/o Starting from Scratch

It worked! I'm not sure I did anything, I just kept trying, restarted computer, etc. It says rescue media created successfully. How do I confirm the computer can boot from the USB? Can I try that on my main computer? I assume something pops up asking me to confirm or not? Thanks!
