What are your system specs?

Battery is probably dead. Had to update the BIOS to version 1002 and change the SATA config from IDE TO AHCI to get my BIOS settings back to what they were. Thanks for the help :)

So far I've only gone into the BIOS and loaded optimized defaults. Do I have to update my BIOS again? Someone else built this PC for me so I've never had to do this. Thank you for your patience. Edit: The current BIOS version is 0402.

Definitely a problem....I wouldn't rule out the motherboard either.

The minimum system power requirements for your GPU is 400w (according to Nvidia's website) so it seems like 500w should be alright to power it. I don't know what brand your 500w PSU is, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to be conservative in how you use your rig the next week until you get a new PSU.

Maybe the PSU died? What PSU are you using?

Sounds to me like it might be a PSU issue. Looked up the feedback for this PSU unit on Newegg and the results weren't very encouraging.
