Okay i ran furmark burn in test for about an hour(1280x720) 0x msaa. everything was fine. no artifacts,no flicker, lockups, nothing. temp went upto 92 degrees. thats all. so does that rule out any gpu problems?

try lowering it more and keep testing with each one. If you have another power supply test with that(but its HIGHLY unlikely that its your psu). But overclocked cards demand more power as far as i know and it might be getting tough for the psu to handle.

Really the card you should get depends a lot on your resolution. anything beyond 1600 x 900 will need hd 6770 or gtx 460 or greater. i would recommend the hd 6850 if res is more.( since that one uses much less power but gives much better performance)
When i check temp in ccc when gaming it never goes beyond 65 degrees. I've cleaned the card a week ago. its just three months old so rma should be easy. Ive considered it but deep in my mind i feel its a memory problem... if so what could be the case?
