Alright, I'm going to try that when I access the computer again and I'll update. How can I install the games on this PC? Steam doesn't run on XP or 98 as far as I know.

I finally built the PC. Here's a picture of the BIOS page where it shows the HDD capacity, I don't even know what these "Cylinder" "Head" settings mean. For your information, the HDD is a ST380011A. I actually don't know any games from that era, but I want to try 98-XP era ones.

Also, back when I used this motherboard a year ago, it only recognized 30GB out of 80GB on my HDD, is this a normal occurrence on old boards?

It's interesting how we thought the FX 9590 used so much power, but nowadays enthusiast Intel CPUs use almost the same, at least they perform very well, unlike Bulldozer.

I remember seeing a lot of AMD A Series laptops and desktops as well, were those based on the same FX architecture?

Yeah I don't understand why 2nd to 7th gen didn't bring any improvements on the CPU side. I think 4c is still usable if you're not into new games, but new games really require more cores. Yeah, though I don't think a 10GHz Pentium 4 would be as powerful as CPUs are today, so I'm thankful they changed their CPUs to be based on the Pentium 3 (if I recall correctly?).

I haven't used that computer in a few months, but before using it I replaced the thermal paste, it was pretty much rock solid.

Good to know this info, since I'm also studying to be an IT Technician. Shouldn't the CPU heat less with a lower process? I thought a lower fabrication process would produce less heat due to it being more efficient.
