I bought a Seagate 2.5" Barracuda 4TB ST4000LM024 SATA 6Gb/s 5400rpm 15mm Notebook Hard Disk for my Lenovo E440 laptop, but when the HDD arrived, it won't fit in. Is there any enclosure for the HDD that I can easily remove by loosing up screws? I thought any 2.5'' HDD would fit any laptop...

So I was using a external HDD, doing some crazy amount of batch unzipping and batch renaming files around. All of a sudden explorer got unresponsive, so I force restarted Windows. Now my external HDD is not being recognized, and I get cyclic redundancy check error. SMART tests say it's ok, but...

I forgot to follow up on this thread. Turns out it was a faulty SSD. I got a new one and everything is working 100%!!!
